The parabolic microphone involves a highly reflective parabolic dish, an omnidirectional microphone, a preamplifier and a headphones for real time listening. In addition you can connect to it a voice recorder* to record intercepted conversations.

Sound waves picked up by the parabolic microphone properly oriented, hit your dish and are conveyed into the rear center where the audio is concentrated and directed into the omnidirectional microphone. In this way, the audio signals received, are amplified compared with the result that you would have with a normal directional microphone. This element not only amplifies sounds, but "select" signals, eliminating unwanted noises, coming from other directions. So the parabolic dish isolates the sound carried by perpendicular waves to the direction getting professional results.

Our EAGLE parabolic mic is designed specifically for investigative and tactic operations, it intercepts eviromental conversations from as little as 3 feet or as much as 500 feet, but it lends itself to be used in television, film and sports. The audio quality depending on weather conditions, but the hight quality electronic system, ensures perfect results.absolutely flawless.

The preamplifier, with a very wide frequency response (10Hz-50KHz), is equipped with a high immunity against RF interference and a high range peak limiter which makes the preamplifier itself virtually "distortion-free through two optical isolators".

EAGLE directional parabolic microphone can be used manually or mounted on a tripod. It has two comfortable handles on both dish sides that make it easy to hold and direct. The bottom of the device has a ¼ "mounting plate useful for mounting it stably on the tripod for fixed or focused audio shooting.

The microphone is placed in the central part of the dish. Here the sound is conveyed and directed to the microphone capsule itself. Audio can be picked up from up to 150-200 meters away, depending on wind and weather conditions.
