The ENMH-D is a compact thermal imaging camera for all types of vehicles, designed to ensure safe driving even on the darkest nights or during bad weather. The device, based on military technology, is light and compact. It is only 75mm long and weighs less than 500g.
Car headlights illuminate a distance of between 80 and 130 meters. The ENMH-D thermal imaging camera allows the driver to see further, so that he can spot pedestrians, animals and obstacles in time, and respond accordingly. Unlike standard cameras that create images based on visible light, the ENMH-D thermal imaging camera identifies differences in temperature, making driving safe even in poor visibility conditions.
The ENMH-D thermal imaging camera allows drivers to see clearly in total darkness, thick fog or on stormy days, avoiding glare.
When meeting an oncoming vehicle, its high beams have no influence on the infrared image, thus ensuring high driving safety.
The thermal night vision system can detect vehicles, animals, people and warm objects up to 300m away in good visibility conditions. While the detectable distance, in case of bad weather (rain, fog, mist, dust, etc.), will be reduced accordingly. The irradiation distance of the asymmetrical beam is about 90m to the side of the opposite road. The irradiation distance is about 150m along the road. Even if the high beams are on, the irradiation distance is only 200m, which is less than the effective detectable distance of the thermal vision system. The sudden danger early warning function can save the driver valuable time by helping him avoid accidents.
The ENMH-D system detects unexpected obstacles and highlights sudden events.
The driver assistance system, PSA Night Vision, automatically identifies and highlights the pedestrian or animal whose dimensions exceed 50cm, within the infrared image. The detection system includes not only pedestrians (up to 100m), but also cyclists, electric cars and motorcycles.
1) When pedestrians walk in front of the vehicle at a distance between 20 and 40m, they will be marked with a rectangular box in red; when pedestrians approach in a dangerous way, the system will highlight a red triangle icon on the display and an audible alarm will prompt the driver to act immediately.
2) When pedestrians walk in front of the vehicle at a distance between 40m and 90m, they will be marked with a yellow rectangular box. If pedestrians approach further, the system will highlight a yellow triangular icon accompanied by an audible alarm.
The system can identify a potential accident. The system will activate the alarm with yellow icon and emit a sound when the pedestrian is at a distance of 60-120m from the vehicle; the system will activate a red icon and an insistent alarm when the distance approaches 25-60m.
